One spoonful of Paciugo Gelato is all it takes to be transported to the street corners of Italy. Serving the most authentic Italian dessert, Paciugo Gelato (pronounced “pah-choo-go”) offers a distinctive array of more than 200 flavors to appeal to every customer’s palate.
The word “gelato” in Italian means “ice cream.” Paciugo is renowned for its authentic, wholesome Italian gelato which is prepared in each location by hand every morning with fresh natural ingredients.
“We are thrilled to be serving the local community,” said Ugo Ginatta CEO of Paciugo. “Paciugo Gelato offers our customers a traditional artisan gelato experience. Each location offers over 32 gelato flavors daily, Italian roast coffee and espresso based drinks, as well as gelato based specialty desserts.”
Paciugo gelato flavors range from traditional Amarena Black Cherry Swirl, Tiramisù and Three Vanillas to the more exotic Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel gelato and Strawberry Celery sorbet. Paciugo Gelato, made fresh daily, features traditional Italian artisan techniques and authentic recipes. The unique dessert chain is luring new fans of Italian gelato at a rapid pace.
Following traditional Italian recipes, the gelato is made with whole milk, water or soy. Paciugo Gelato, which translates from the dialect of the Italian Riviera as “messy concoction,” is trans-fat free, preservative free and does not contain cream or high fructose corn syrup.
In addition to gelato, other Paciugo menu items include Frappés (gelato shakes) and smoothies, Affogato al Caffè (espresso poured over gelato) or Affogato al Cioccolato (hot chocolate poured over gelato), Frizzante (gelato blended with sparkling San Pellegrino water or sodas), Gelato sundaes and Espresso-based drinks, including Cappuccino con Gelato (cappuccino flavored with gelato). Paciugo also offers a full line of coffees. All coffees are made from 100% Arabica, fair trade and all natural beans with a medium-dark roasting that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the gelato.
Every Paciugo location prepares its 32 to 40 flavors of gelato fresh each morning by hand with only the finest ingredients. The average price ranges from $3.49 for a single serving of gelato (with a choice of three flavors) to $5.99 for specialty drinks. Paciugo also offers three sizes of custom take-home containers called Festa PacksTM that allow the gelato to be transported intact for up to 45 minutes.
